Sean Garinger, one of the stars of 16 And Pregnant, has tragically passed away aged 20.

Garinger's mom, Mary Hobbs, confirmed the heartbreaking news to The U.S. Sun, telling the outlet that she was there when a freak accident with an ATV vehicle left her son with fatal head injuries.

"I was with him when it happened. He was just moving [the ATV] from one parking spot to the next for me, so I could back into park," she recalled. "He pulled [in] front of me to park the ATV and the ground gave way from all the rain and mud."

The ATV flipped over, leaving Garinger with a "crushed skull."

"I ran to neighbors trying to get someone to help me get the ATV off of him. No one answered. I ran back to him," she continued. "By that time, I realized he wasn't alive anymore."

Mary then added that she just "laid next to him" until the emergency services arrived.

The 20-year-old, who also went by the nickname "Squishy", was in the process of sorting out a car from the local car dealership so that he could visit his daughters, whom he shares with his ex Selena Gutierrez, in Colorado but tragically, he and his mom never made it back to the dealership.

"There was a huge part of my heart that died with my son on Wednesday," Mary told the outlet. "He was my only son, my rock, my strength when I had none left.

"We loved spontaneously jumping in the car for a road trip or a beach sesh [and] we bonded over music, fast cars and shooting guns and taking new adventures," she continued. "Sean brightened my world in a way no one else could ever come close to. He was my baby boy, my squishy, my heartbeat."

In a statement that was released to local media, the Watauga County Sheriff's Office, who responded to the accident alongside Watauga Medics and the Boone Fire Department stated: "Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for the loss experienced by the family and loved ones of the victim."

In his obituary, he was described as a "military brat who touched lives all around the country."

"Sean had a passion for living life to the fullest," the statement continued. "He enjoyed driving RC cars, sky diving, shark diving, dirt bikes, flying his drone, driving ATVs, surfing, and spending time in the ocean. His adventurous spirit and love for excitement were evident in all aspects of his life."

Others also shared tributes, with one of his teachers leading the way.

"I only knew Sean a very short time as he began my GED class in early February," she wrote. "Even though Sean wasn’t with us in class long, we all saw how compassionate he was. He always made sure he spoke to other students to make everyone feel cared for. He also always thanked me for my help. We will miss Sean and his friendly personality. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.:

"Although I don’t know the family of Sean personally, I am saddened by his sudden death. I pray for his entire family in this most difficult time. May Sean rest in eternal peace. For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord," added Renee Stevens, who also left a comment under the obituary.

The former reality TV star's aunt also left some kind words, stating that he had the "silliest most unique contagious laugh to ever grace my ears."

"I'll love you forever kiddo," she added.

Garinger is survived by his beloved daughters, Dareli and Esmi, his mother MARY HOBBS, and his sisters Shania, Lydia, Isabella, Ember, Kayden, and Casslyn.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this incredibly difficult time.
