Aaron Carter's fiancée has accused his manager of having a hand in the singer's decline and subsequent relapse before his death.

In a lengthy post published on her Instagram Stories, Melanie Martin accused Taylor Helgeson of "enabling, overworking, and using" the late singer which, according to her, had a negative effect on him and their romantic relationship.

"I haven't spoke out but I feel the need to now. This man did nothing to help Aaron. He enabled him so much," she wrote, per Just Jared. "All he did was put a wedge between Aaron and I for the party to start. I was even thrown off the tour bus by this man!!"

Martin, who has a one-year-old son with Carter, continued: "He tried to take over and brought him things that should have NEVER been brought to anyone. Let alone an addict.

"He overworked him when he was not well. He used him in life and now he's still getting paid for interviews! This man wanted to get Aaron's career back but this wasn't the time to do so. Aaron needed help and needed rehab to be sober before he could revive his career."

She also added that she was "sick of people coming out of the woodwork now with false narratives to look like the hero."

"This man was no hero," she wrote, referring to Helgeson, before going on to make some pretty serious claims.

"He had a hand in his relapse. I tried to give this man the benefit of the doubt many times and he continuously disappointed me. Constantly using Aaron for clout and his belongings. You enabled him and tried to overwork him into something he was not.

"I know I can't bring back Aaron but I will always make sure the truth is spoken! I'll protect Aaron for the rest of my life," she concluded.

Retaliating in his own statement, the manager branded Martin's accusations as "false", but did, however, claim that he had to remove her from Carter's tour bus once due to her "erratic behavior."

"Out of respect for the family, Aaron's loved ones, and even Melanie we have not commented on her at any time," Helgeson started, per the Daily Mail. "However, due to her recent actions, the most astounding of which are against the family of Aaron himself, we strongly feel the need to comment and condone both her actions and false statements.

"Melanie was not and had not been with Aaron for some time prior to his passing, due to causing a domestically unsafe environment for both her and himself."

The shocking news comes just a week after Carter's manager shared the heartbreaking final text messages he received from the singer before his sudden death.

Speaking to The Sun US, Helgeson recalled the last conversation he had with the 34-year-old, stating that he was "optimistic" about the future of his music career.

"He was so excited, he was extremely optimistic," Helgeson told the outlet. "It was a few years since we released Love, and he felt ready to do another [album]. I got these incredible producers from Denmark to fly out to produce his album and it was the first time in a while that I've seen him so excited."

"He had more [to give], and he didn't quit," Helgeson added.

After the news of Carter's untimely death was announced on November 5, Helgeson also took to Instagram to leave a heartfelt tribute, emphasizing that the pair did have their "ups and downs" but they really cared for each other.

"It’s hard to describe our relationship, you were hard headed so was I, you were complicated, so was I and yet somehow we understood each other," he wrote in a caption alongside a video of the two.

"Over the many years of our relationship we had ups and downs but we always showed up for each other when we needed one another. You gave me every opportunity you could constantly telling me that I had a place in this business. My heart hurts, our world is different, you are not here anymore, but you are in my heart as my brother till I see you there.

"I love you Bonch..." he concluded.

Rest in peace, Aaron Carter.
