Andrew Tate has won his appeal in a Romanian Court and will now be released from house arrest pending a further trial.

As per Sky News, the influencer was being held on counts of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group.

Tate, alongside his brother Tristan, allegedly formed the group with two Romanian women in 2021 in order to commit human trafficking in multiple countries, including the US.

Dubbed by authorities as the "loverboy method", the brothers have been accused of tricking women into engaging in sexual acts with false promises of marriage.

As per the Daily Mail, the Bucharest Court of Appeals wrote that the ruling "replaces the house arrest measure with that of judicial control for a period of 60 days from August 4 until October 2.

Tate has strongly denied the allegations against him after he was arrested on December 29 and subsequently served three months in a Romanian jail before being moved to house arrest on March 31.

Romania's anti-organized crime agency known as DIICOT requested that Tate's house arrest be extended, with the social media influencer repeatedly claiming that the prosecutors had no evidence against him.

Prosecutors allege that "intimidation, constant surveillance" were used in relation to the victims, with one victim allegedly being raped twice in March 2022.

Following the news of the Tate brothers being released from house arrest, a spokesperson for them explained that they cannot travel outside of Romania and must stay within Bucharest and Ilfov county.

"However, they may have the opportunity to travel beyond these boundaries with the prior approval of the courts," the spokesperson said.

They continued: "We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Romanian judicial system for their fair consideration.

"This positive outcome gives us confidence that more favorable developments are on the horizon and the truth is beginning to prevail.

Tate had previously documented on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he was attending the court of appeal in relation to his house arrest, and has now released a statement following his release.

"After 15m euro of asset seizures. After an indictment based on nothing. The file was passed to a judge, who has ruled it weak and circumstantial," Tate penned.

"I have been released from house arrest but must remain within Romania."
