Donald Trump hints that he’s writing ‘the book of all books’ and claims he's 'turned down two deals'
Donald Trump has teased that he's working on a new writing project... and claims he's already turned down two deals.
The former POTUS, 75, described his new venture as "the book of all books," but remained tight-lipped on what exactly the world can expect.
Per Independent, in a statement issued to the media, Trump claimed he had recently turned down two potential book deals from "the most unlikely of publishers".
He said: "I do not want to do such a deal right now. I’m writing like crazy anyway, however, and when the time comes, you’ll see the book of all books. Actually, I’ve been working on a much more important project right now."
It won't be the first time Trump had his name on a published book. His name has already been attributed to several books - including the 1987 book Trump: The Art of the Deal.
The book became an instant a bestseller ghostwritten by journalist Tony Schwarz, which reached the top of the New York Times’ list after its release.
News of Trump's new venture was met with mixed responses on social media, as people didn't hold back sharing what they expect the book to be.
One critic wrote: "Is this Comic Sans?"
While another added: "Trump is writing the 'book of all books?' When I heard about all of his writing, I had some operatives get a copy of the first chapter. Here it is for your reading pleasure," alongside a snap of a children's doodle.
A third wrote: "He always appears to be barely literate, might require an exceptional editor."
A final critic wrote: "I’m told he turned them down because the editors refused to include a set of crayons with the books like he asked."
But others welcomed news of a potential Trump book with open arms, taking to Twitter to share their excitement over the project.
"I cannot wait until this is all over and President Trump writes his book," wrote one.
Another added: "President Trump turned down two book deals, but he’s been writing a lot. When the time come, he will write a book of all books! [sic]"
