Brooke Hogan has alleged that police bodycam footage contains critical information about her father, Hulk Hogan’s death.
The professional wrestler, born Terry Bollea, passed away last month after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
According to TMZ, emergency responders arrived around 10AM on July 24 and spent over an hour attempting to save the 71-year-old before he was pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital.
Page Six confirmed that Hogan died after suffering from an "acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, in which is when blood flow to the heart muscle is suddenly blocked, causing tissue damage, per the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center."
PEOPLE also shared that the superstar, who was in WWE/WCW/TNA, had a history of leukemia, a form of cancer that affects white blood cells, and atrial fibrillation, a common disorder that causes irregular heartbeats.
Hogan's loved ones have taken to social media to pay tribute to him. His wife, Sky Daily, shared on Instagram that her late husband had been battling health issues before his passing.
"I truly believed we would overcome them... I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time," she said, revealing that Hogan was a man who deeply loved his fans and would do anything for them, even in recent months when his physical strength had deteriorated.
"You meant everything to him," she continued. “This loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart."
The late star's son, Nick, also released a deeply personal statement on July 26. Alongside a collection of pictures from his childhood through adulthood, he described his dad as his "hero" and “the most kind, loving, and amazing father anybody could ask for".
“This has been overwhelming and extremely difficult,” the 35-year-old wrote. “Hearing so many kind words and stories about my dad’s life, interactions, and experiences with everyone has been incredible and comforting.
"He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend. He always has been my best friend, and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain," he added.
Hogan's daughter, Brooke, who’s been publicly estranged from him and her mother, Linda, also spoke out about his death.
Per The Independent, she penned: “My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments. We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes."
But on August 20, the mom-of-two released another statement on Instagram alleging she’d been contacted by police officials and nurses urging her to review unreleased records from the day of Hogan’s death.
"FACT. I've 100% gotten legit calls from professionals- from police officials to nurses that were supposedly with my dad on the day of his death telling ME I need to see body cam footage and I need to get a hold of the 911 tapes because they supposedly contain information that could potentially shed enough light to change the narrative," she said, cited by PEOPLE.
She claimed that those professionals "feel so passionately about what they witnessed, they have continued to contact me and push me to find specific answers to this very day".
"I do not have answers as to if the officials who have contacted me about what they witnessed relayed this information to the medical examiner's office," she wrote. "And if they did, I do not know why it wasn't taken into consideration."
The WWE star was buried at a private funeral in Clearwater on Tuesday, August 5, which Brooke did not attend.
The 'About Us' singer said she has no information as to whether, if, or when her father would be cremated. She also claimed the bodycam and 911 dispatch calls are not available through public records, saying she does not know why they remain “on lockdown”.
In addition to this, Brooke questioned why her father's primary care doctor certified his cause of death, but admitted she has “zero control” over the matter, writing that “it’s all up to my dad’s wife [Sky Daily],” who legally makes those decisions.
The Clearwater Police Department is conducting a death investigation. Per a previous press release, the department will not be disclosing the investigation, but will provide further details when they become available.
