Ciara has perfectly hit back at the many trolls who criticized her over the dress she opted to wear to the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.

Following Sunday night's 95th Academy Awards, the 37-year-old 'Level Up' singer was one of the many stars who attended the famed event - which has seen many incredible looks over the years.

But one stir who guaranteed to turn heads on Sunday night was Ciara, who caused jaws to hit the floor as she arrived wearing a very revealing crystal-covered Dundas gown that showcased her remarkable figure. Walking arm-in-arm with her husband and Broncos star Russell Wilson, Ciara completed the look with only a pair of gloves, high heels, and a thong.

And she looked utterly remarkable:

However, it would appear that many social media users forgot that it is 2023 and that women can wear whatever they darn well want to - because the singer was swiftly attacked by trolls over her outfit choice.

Ciara was strongly criticized for wearing the dress as a woman, as a mother, as a wife, and as a Christian. Wilson was also attacked for "letting [his] wife walk out naked", with one person writing: "No man in his rational mind would allow his wife to be seen in public looking that naked."

But the mom-of-three has since taken to TikTok to seemingly shut down her haters with a hilarious video.

Sharing the clip with her 3.7 million followers on the platform, the singer shared a video of her completely covered up head-to-toe in a sheet and sunglasses. Ciara then played audio of photographers shouting at her - a clear reference to Sunday night's appearance.

The singer also captioned the post "selective outrage". (And if that sounds familiar, that's because it just so happens to be the title of Chris Rock's latest Netflix comedy special).

Check out the TikTok below:

'Selective outrage' is a term used to point out hypocrisy - when a person or people gets mad about something, but chooses to ignore/downplay the same instance when it benefits/contradicts them.

And Ciara's message didn't go unnoticed by her fans, who flooded the post's comment section with even more support for the singer.

"Ciara reminding the masses, that she’s that girl, always been that girl and will forever be THAT GIRL," one person commented.

"The petty is giving," a second added, which was echoed by another fan, who wrote: "Petty and I live for it!!!! Yassss CiCi!!!!"

"Get em Cici... People tripping for no reason. you looked absolutely amazing," added a fourth.

It looks like Ciara isn't going to be letting ANYONE tell her what she can and cannot wear. What a queen!
