Sara Ann Lee, who is perhaps best known for her work in WWE, has died at the age of 30.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by the former WWE Superstar's mom, Terri, who wrote on Facebook: "It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus.

"We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn. We all need prayers especially Cory and her children."

Lee shot to fame back in 2015 when she competed in the WWE reality TV series, Tough Enough, which sees wrestling hopefuls train and complete challenges in order to try and earn a WWE contract.

Despite competition against future stars like Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and Chelsea Green, Lee was voted the female winner of the season, and won a $250,000 one-year contract with WWE. She would eventually adopt the ring name Hope, and spent most of her time in WWE in its developmental territory, NXT.

Sadly, she was released from the company the following year. However, while in the company, she met her future husband, fellow wrestler Wesley Blake (real name Cory James Weston). The couple married in December 2017, and went on to welcome a daughter and two sons.

Following the news of her passing, the wrestling world has paid tribute to the late wrestler, with WWE writing: "WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of Sara Lee. As a former 'Tough Enough' winner, Lee served as an inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and fans."

Former WWE Women's Champion Alexa Bliss also shared a photo of Lee and Blake at her own wedding, writing: "We love you Sara. So heartbreaking. Please keep Cory & their family in your thoughts and prayers."

WWE Superstar Nikki A.S.H shared several photos of her time with Lee, writing: "You were so good in so many ways. You loved your family and friends so much. you were so giving, warm and selfless. You made me giggle. No matter how long we went without seeing each other, we would always pick up right where we left. I love you Sara."

And Monday Night Raw referee Shawn Bennett tweeted: "Heartbroken for the Weston Family. Sara Lee was one of the sweetest people I’ve met and her smile lit up a room. My love and hope for strength goes to Cory, and their three beautiful children."

Additionally, former WWE wrestler Bull James (real name James Smith), has launched a GoFundMe to raise money for Lee's family.

As of this writing, over $59,000 has been raised, with wrestlers like Cody Rhodes, Matt Cardona, and Braun Strowman all donating.

Our thoughts go out to Sara Ann Lee's family, friends, and fans at this time.
