The WWE Hall of Famer, born Terry Bollea, passed away on the morning of July 24 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida, after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home.

According to TMZ, emergency responders were dispatched to Hogan's home around 10AM and spent over an hour attempting to save his life.

Major Nate Burnside of the Clearwater Police Department confirmed: “The Clearwater Police Department is conducting a medical investigation, which is standard in these types of cases. There are no signs of foul play or suspicious activity related to this call for service at this time," per Express.

Just weeks before his death, the 71-year-old appeared on Fox & Friends to promote his new wrestling venture, Real American Freestyle. But instead of drawing attention to the project, viewers became concerned by his appearance.

Known for his bronzed glow and robust persona, the 71-year-old appeared gaunt. Social media users remarked on his black-dyed beard contrasting with his white goatee and hair, as well as what many described as “scattered” thoughts during the interview.

“Tell Hulk Hogan his face is dirty, clean that soot off,” one viewer commented, another asked, “Does anyone believe this is Hulk Hogan?” while a third added: “Hulk looks so different. I really hope he's doing okay," Daily Mail reported.

Following news of his passing, tributes have poured in from across the entertainment and sports worlds.

WWE said in a statement: “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”

Ric Flair posted: “I Am Absolutely Shocked To Hear About The Passing Of My Close Friend @HulkHogan! Hulk Has Been By My Side Since We Started In The Wrestling Business. An Incredible Athlete, Talent, Friend, And Father! Our Friendship Has Meant The World To Me."

The Undertaker shared: “The wrestling world has lost a true legend. His contributions to our business are immeasurable, and for that, I am appreciative. Thank you, Hulk Hogan," while actor Sylvester Stallone wrote: “I had the pleasure of meeting this brilliant personality and showman when he was 26 years old.

"He was absolutely wonderful and his amazing skill made Rocky three incredibly special. My heart breaks. I think that he's gone…”

President Trump also spoke out about Hogan's death on Truth Social, writing: “We lost a great friend today, the ‘Hulkster.’ Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way - Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart… Hulk Hogan will be greatly missed!”

Hogan temporarily parted ways with WWE in 2015 after a leaked video surfaced showing him using racist language.

However, he was reinstated to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018. He had been inducted twice - first in 2005 as an individual and again in 2020 as a member of the NWO.

In May, a representative addressed growing speculation about Hogan’s health following a neck “fusion procedure,” telling The Mirror the surgery had been “successful” and there were “no reasons to panic".

In what would be his last Instagram video, Hogan promoted his Real American Beer, saying: “Real American beer, made in America, by real Americans… Get some, brother. That’s America, brother.”
