Jojo Siwa has shared her heart-wrenching tribute to her "best friend", Stephen "tWitch" Boss.

Earlier today, the entertainment industry was rocked by the news that the Dinsey+ and Ellen Show personality has tragically died at the age of 40.

Boss' wife, Allison Holker, confirmed his death in a statement, writing: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into.

"He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans."

Now, tWitch's So You Think You Can Dance? co-star Jojo Siwa has taken to social media to pay tribute to her friend and mentor.

"My heart is beyond broken," Siwa begins her tribute. "tWitch was a best friend and a mentor not just to me but to SO many.

"I’ll never forget our time getting to work together on SYTYCD, he became such a light in my life. Someone I’ve looked up to since I was born turned one of my best friends. Twitch always had the best advice. We had SO many laughs, smiles, and even cries together."

The grieving star continued: "I know you’re in a better place now but man we are all gonna miss the hell outta you."

Siwa then directed her love toward tWitch's family, adding: "Sending my most love and prayers to His beautiful wife and 3 perfect kids."

"[Thank you for sharing your gift with the world," the tribute continued. "I’m 'so esssicted' to see you again one day (A inside joke between us that I will never let go of). Forever the worlds dance dad. Love you brother. RIP the legendary Stephen Twitch Boss."

According to reports from TMZ, law enforcement sources claim Boss's wife, Allison Holker, ran to an LAPD station on Tuesday over fears for her husband.

Sources claim she was 'frantic' after finding he had left home without his car, which was out of character, before he was found dead.

He is believed to have died by suicide, although, no official cause of death has been provided at this time.

Our thoughts continue to go out to tWitch's family, friends, and fans at this time.
