Kevin Spacey is attempting a return to the spotlight, but not on the big screen. The two-time Oscar winner is reinventing himself as a big-band crooner, channeling Rat Pack charm in a one-night-only concert at a luxury resort in Cyprus.
The 66-year-old actor will perform Songs & Stories at the Parklane Luxury Collection Resort in Limassol on November 15. The evening promises a mix of 1960s jazz classics and behind-the-scenes anecdotes from Spacey’s life in film and theatre. He’ll be backed by a full jazz band, with organizers promising “a voice and presence that’s simply unmatched.”
The red-carpet event will take place in the resort’s Diamond Ballroom, where guests are instructed to wear cocktail attire. Ticket prices start at $290, while VIP packages run as high as $1,460. The premium tier includes a 30-minute meet-and-greet session with Spacey, a bottle of champagne, and a fruit platter.
Promotional materials describe the performance as “the return of an entertainer in the grandest sense of the word.”
Spacey has largely stayed out of the public eye since a London jury acquitted him of nine sexual offence charges in 2023, TODAY detailed. Though he has acknowledged being “handsy,” the American Beauty star has since criticized cancel culture and expressed interest in reclaiming his place in the entertainment world.
His Cyprus show isn’t his first step back on stage. Over the weekend, Spacey reportedly performed a low-key set during a charity dinner in Italy, testing the waters for a more formal return.
Known for roles in The Usual Suspects, House of Cards, and numerous acclaimed stage productions, Spacey’s career came to a halt in 2017 following multiple allegations of misconduct, according to TODAY. Though he’s kept a relatively low profile since, this concert marks his most high-profile attempt yet to step back into the public arena.
Whether his comeback will gain traction remains to be seen—but for one night at least, Spacey will be back in the spotlight, center stage, and holding a microphone instead of a script.
