Lance Reddick - the actor perhaps best known to fans for his roles in hit television shows like The Wire and Lost - has sadly passed away at the age of 60.
As reported by BBC News, the actor's publicist, Mia Hansen, confirmed the news.
"Lance will be greatly missed," Hansen, said in a statement. "Please respect his family's privacy at this time."
Hansen has revealed that police were called to the actor's Los Angeles home at 09:30AM this morning (local time).
TMZ adds that the actor's cause of death is currently unknown.
It has been reported that Reddick had been taking part in a press tour for the upcoming fourth installment of the John Wick franchise, which is currently set to hit movie theaters on March 24.
On the small screen, Reddick is known for his roles in some of television's greatest shows.
He starred as Cedric Daniels in The Wire (2002–2008), as Phillip Broyles in Fringe (2008–2013), and as Matthew Abaddon in Lost (2008–2009).
Reddick was also played the lead role of Deputy Chief Irvin Irving in the police drama Bosch between (2014–21).
These are just some of Reddick's most popular roles - having also starred in shows like Resident Evil (2022), Intelligence (2014), Fringe (2008-2013), CSI: Miami (2005-2006), Oz (2000-2001), and Falcone (2000).
On the big screen, Reddick is perhaps best known for playing Charon in the John Wick franchise.
Many big names have already taken to social media to pay tribute to the late star, with actor Ben Stiller tweeting: "Lance Reddick was [a] beautiful and compelling actor. And a beautiful person. He worked with my mom Anne Meara in her play 'Afterplay', playing Raziel, the waiter slash angel of death. He was exquisite in that and all he did.
"Nothing is lost."
Another star to pay tribute to Reddick was Wendell Pierce, who described the John Wick star as "a man of great strength and grace" and "as talented a musician as he was an actor."
"The epitome of class," Pierce added. "An sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP."
