Roger E. Mosley sadly passed away on Sunday (August 7) at the age of 83 following a tragic car crash.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter by Mosley's daughter, Ch-a.

In a subsequent Facebook post, Ch-a paid tribute to her late father, writing: "We could never mourn such an amazing man. He would hate any crying done in his name. It is time to celebrate the legacy he left for us all.

"I love you daddy. You loved me too. My heart is heavy but I am strong. I will care for mommy, your love of almost 60 years. You raised me well and she is in good hands. Rest easy."

BBC News reports that Mosley was involved in a crash in Lynnewood, Los Angeles, three days prior to his death.

Ch-a had previously provided an update on her father's condition following the crash, writing on Instagram: "Last week my dad, Roger E. Mosley, was involved in a major car accident that has left him paralyzed from the shoulders down.

"He is in a critical condition and every effort is being made to care for him during this time. And he is constantly accompanied by family and friends."

Sadly, Roger - described as "a legend, a trailblazer, a roll model, and a friend to his communities" by his daughter - passed away on Sunday at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Mosley is perhaps best known to fans as the helicopter pilot Theodore "TC" Calvin on the 1980s hit show Magnum, P.I.
