The multi-faceted entertainer and TV host - and father of 12 - recently opened up about his mental health during a candid discussion on his Counsel Culture podcast.
Cannon, 44, shared that doctors have diagnosed him with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
Per the Mayo Clinic, NPD is "a mental health condition in which people have an unreasonably high sense of their own importance. They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them. People with this disorder may lack the ability to understand or care about the feelings of others."
Although sufferers may exude "extreme confidence" to others, they may struggle deeply with their own "self-worth and are easily upset by the slightest criticism".
The Mayo Clinic adds that the condition can cause problems in many areas of a sufferer's life, "such as relationships, work, school, or financial matters."

In response to the diagnosis, Cannon has told PEOPLE that he is committed to personal growth and change.
"I still don't understand it all the way, but I kind of always wanted to get tested for it. I did a bunch of tests," Cannon explained during a Thanksgiving charity event.
"I've been diagnosed with ADHD," the Masked Singer host continued. "Even as a kid it was dyslexia, but just knowing that I'm just a neurodivergent individual, I kind of always knew."
Explaining how he is looking to "embrace" the news, Cannon added: "I feel like there's so many labels out there, but it's like, to be able to embrace it and say, 'Look, I'm healing. I need help. Show me.'
"I just embrace mental health and therapy in such a strong way. To be able to say I'm an example for others, but also be healing during the self-process works too."
