Nicki Minaj has reportedly been detained by police in Amsterdam after allegedly "carrying drugs".

The 41-year-old rapper took to social media to livestream the moment she was approached by Dutch officials instructing her to go with them to a local police station. The video can be seen below:

In the conversation, it appears that Minaj is accused of "carrying drugs", to which, the 'Super Bass' star replies: "I'm not carrying drugs".

After being instructed to head to the nearby police station, the chart-topper tells them that she wants a lawyer present.

In another Instagram post, she wrote: "They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show. They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they’re waiting on customs.

"This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal"

In the accompanying video, a man who appears to be an airline crew member informed the rapper that a "police officer told" him that they had "to offload all the luggage and to search everything."

Minaj then responded: "But wasn't that what you planned on doing from the get-go? Why didn't you guys search it before it went on the plane?"

The man then explained: "They did just a random quick check, but now they want to open it."

When Minaj asked why, she was told: "First of all, because you filmed him... [and] ... he doesn't believe you that you don't have more with you than you say."

As well as live-streaming the unfolding incident, Minaj has also shared several tweets accusing people of trying to "sabotage" her tour.

"They’ve been trying everything they possibly can to TRY to stop this tour," one tweet read.

In a series of tweets, she accused airport staff and police of taking her bags and saying they were "on the jet". After being searched, it appears that officials found a number of "pre-rolled" marijuana cigarettes in her bag.

She tweeted: "Now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my [Instagram] post down."

The 'Anaconda' rapper also tweeted: "This is how they plant things in your luggage."
