Olivia Rodrigo used her Glastonbury set to send a very special message to the US Supreme Court.

Following Friday's SCOTUS ruling to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision, the 19-year-old American singer delivered an impassioned speech during her Saturday performance at the UK's Glastonbury festival.

Justices voted 5-4 in favor of the ruling, with Justice Samuel Alito writing in his majority opinion on Friday: "Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division."

Friday's ruling means that there is no longer a federal constitutional right to an abortion, as each state will now be able to set its own abortion rights independently - a decision that will have huge consequences on women's reproductive health across the nation.

While performing at the famous festival, Rodrigo told the festivalgoers: "I’m devastated and terrified. So many women and so many girls are going to die because of this."

The 'Traitor' singer then stated: "I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have showed us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a s**t about freedom.

"This song goes out to the justices: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you!" (Those being the five names who voted to overturn Roe.)

Lily Allen then appeared on the stage and the pair performed the British singer's 2009 hit 'F*** You' - a song Allen has previously stated was written about former Republican President of the United States, George W. Bush. During more recent performances, Allen has dedicated the song to former POTUS Donald Trump.

And Rodrigo isn't the only music star to use their Glastonbury set to speak out against Friday's Supreme Court ruling.

On Friday, 20-year-old Billie Eilish headlined the main stage and addressed the decision, telling the crowd: "The song we’re about to do is, I think, one of the favourites that we’ve written and it’s about the concept of power and how we need to always remember how not to abuse it.

"And today is a really, really dark day for women in the US. I’m just going to say that as I cannot bear to think about it any longer in this moment."

Eilish then performed her 2021 hit 'Your Power'.
