The statement added that Gauthier "passed suddenly and unexpectedly following a short illness, before asking for privacy at this time for his loved ones.
Known for his portrayal of William Smee in the beloved series Once Upon a Time, Gauthier captivated audiences with his charismatic performances. His versatility as a character actor was evident in his diverse roles, including Vincent in Syfy's Eureka and Phil in Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Throughout his career Gauthier made an impression with fans on both the small and big screens, with notable appearances in shows like Supernatural, Smallville, and Harper's Island. His film credits included roles in Freddy vs. Jason and Watchmen.
