Robert De Niro has revealed the name of his seventh child.
This week, the Taxi Driver shared that he has become a father again - at the age of 79 - during an interview to promote his new movie, About My Father.
Speaking to ET Canada about fatherhood, the Hollywood star stated that he believes "in being loving with [his] kids", though one also has "to be stern about stuff."
"I mean, there’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice," he told host Brittnee Blair. "And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can’t."
The interviewer then mentioned that De Niro had six kids, before the actor promptly corrected him, saying: "Seven actually," and revealing that he just had a baby. Soon after, De Niro's rep confirmed to the outlet that the actor had in fact welcomed another bundle of joy.
On May 11, the Goodfellas actor spoke to CBS Mornings' host Gayle King on the phone and disclosed that his baby girl's name is - Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro. He also unveiled a sweet photo of her.
"This baby is planned," he said, disclosing that he and the mother - his partner Tiffany Chen - both wanted the baby and are "over the moon." He also told King that the newborn "was brought here by love".
Watch the interview below:When news of De Niro's expanding family broke, actress Kim Cattrall congratulated the actor and his "significant other" at the New York premiere of their film About My Father.
She told Extra: "God bless him, his significant other. Tiffany is such a beautiful woman. She came to the set once with her family and watched filming, and she was gorgeous and sweet. I'm happy for both of them."
De Niro's latest child joins his other kids - daughter Drena, 51, and son Raphael, 46, from De Nero's first wife, American actor Diahnne Abbott. They were married from 1976 to 1988.
He also shares twin sons, Julian and Aaron, 27, with ex-girlfriend, model Toukie Smith, as well as son Elliot, 25, and daughter Helen Grace, 11, with his ex-wife Grace Hightower.
De Niro apparently met Chen, a martial arts instructor based in New York, while filming his 2015 movie The Intern, with the pair becoming an item shortly after his 2018 divorce from Hightower.
