Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have gone their separate ways after 14 years of marriage.
In a statement to The Sun, a spokesperson for the iconic UK TV couple said: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
Sources say that the two presenters were taken in "different directions" due to their respective work commitments, but both are determined to remain friends and "keep things amicable".

The couple tied the knot back in 2010 and went on to co-host the popular UK talk show This Morning as husband and wife.
Ruth's professional and calm demeanor contrasted perfectly with Eamonn's often sarcastic and no-nonsense approach to the show's magazine-style features.

Just days ago on an episode of Loose Women, 64-year-old Langsford shared how caring for her husband during his recent medical scare resulted in her prioritizing her life differently.
"I look at Eamonn, who’s had his health and back problems, and it makes you realize how important your health is," she said on the show. “I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope.
"He does the physio, but there might have to be some acceptance that this might never be 100 percent right.”
Per Hello, the couple first met back in 1997 and dated for more than a decade before eventually getting engaged.
Speaking to the publication about their 14-year marriage, Langsford said: "I think always respect, mutual respect. And we laugh a lot.
"I think love and lust and everything's wonderful at the start of a relationship. But really…you've got to have that connection as friends where you feel comfortable with each other."
On an episode of Loose Women back in April, Langsford actually revealed that she would be more hurt if Holmes left her for a woman closer to her own age, rather than somebody much younger.
"See I think, people go, 'Oh, you'd hate it if you were dumped for a younger woman'. I go, 'No, I would hate it because...' then I could do the whole cliché thing, 'Oh, Eamonn is such a cliche, he's going with a 25-year-old, how sad,'" she told her fellow panelists.
"But then I think 'No, the worst thing for me is if he went off with someone the same age'. I think that is harder than being dumped for someone younger. That's my worst fear."
There's no doubt the people of the UK will miss seeing these two together on their screens.
