Eliza Coupe, best known for playing Denise Mahoney in the beloved medical comedy, attended the premiere of her latest project, Netflix’s The Residence, on Wednesday (March 19) with her new look.
The 43-year-old hit the red carpet in a head-turning shimmering gold dress, which had a plunging neckline and an asymmetrical hemline.
She styled the look with black suede thigh-high boots and a dramatic black fur coat draped off her shoulders. Her blonde locks were in a shag haircut and her make-up consisted of a smokey eye and nude lips.
Coupe’s red carpet return comes 15 years after Scrubs wrapped its nine-season run but not everyone was feeling the glow-up.
After facing a wave of online criticism over her look, she clapped back with a fiery post on Instagram.
Sharing a scene of herself pointing a gun at someone, she wrote: "My response to all the bad press and wildly altered photos of me floating around the internet. You are all so consistently ridiculous. Thank you for making me laugh. Xoxo."
Fans were quick to show their support in the comments section. "YES BRING THE TIGER OUT. F them we love you and you are gorgeous YOU LOOKED AMAZING," one user wrote.
Another said: "You’re gorgeous as always! Can’t wait to see the show!" And a third added: "You are amazingly beautiful inside and out! And a bad a**!"
The Happy Endings star's latest project, The Residence, is a juicy mystery drama set within the White House staff quarters.
It follows detective Cordelia Cupp, played by Uzo Aduba, as she teams up with FBI special agent Edwin Park (Randall Park) to solve the murder of the White House chief usher, A.B. Wynter, portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito.
Coupe stars as Senator Margery Bay Bix in the show, which is inspired by The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House by Kate Andersen Brower.
The series peels back the curtain on the inner workings of America’s most famous address, and comes from Shondaland, with Scandal alum Paul William Davies serving as creator.
The expansive cast features Susan Kelechi Watson, Jane Curtin, Jason Lee, Ken Marino, Al Mitchell, Edwina Findley, Barret Foa, Juliette Jeffers, Brett Tucker, Jodie Bianca Wise, Kylie Minogue, and many more.

Coupe's viral red carpet moment isn’t the only thing reigniting nostalgia for Scrubs lovers.
Zach Braff, who starred as Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian, recently teased the possibility of a Scrubs revival.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in August, Braff said he believes it’s “gonna happen," adding: “I’m gonna tell you something that nobody else is gonna get.
“Scrubs is a Disney show. Bill [Lawrence, Scrubs’ creator] has a Warner Bros. deal. Once those two companies figure that out, I think the people will get what they want. I think it’s gonna happen.”
Braff added that bringing the original cast back together would be a dream. "It would be so much fun [with] all my favorite people. We all still hang out. A lot of people who were on long shows say that, but it's true," he insisted. "I was just on vacation with Sarah Chalke... I'm going to the beach with Bill next weekend. We're all friends."
