Sexyy Red has responded to a social media leak of her intimate private tapes.

Yesterday, 25-year-old Sexyy Red - real name Janae Nierah Wherry - grappled with the shock of a leaked intimate video that featured her and an unidentified man.

What added fuel to the fire was the fact that the explicit content first showed up on her very own Instagram Story. With a massive following of 2.3 million on the social media platform, the speculation became rife that the rapper might have mistakenly uploaded it herself.

However, shortly following the leak, the 'Pound Town' hitmaker took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to not only deny that she was the one who leaked the NSFW footage, but that she was "heartbroken" that the intimate tapes had been shared online.

"I’m so heartbroken anybody that kno me knows I wouldn’t do no goofy sht like that [sic]," she wrote.

The rapper soon started trending on social media, but has since had to limit those who can reply to her tweet as many X users continued to criticize the music star.

Many X users joked that the rapper had leaked the footage in an attempt to distract from the fact that she had voiced support for former US President Donald Trump.

During an appearance on the This Past Weekend podcast, the rapper - who often attends public events holding huge wads of cash - voiced her support for Trump, attributing it to the stimulus checks the US population received amidst the pandemic. "I like Trump," she remarked, and even went on to add, "Yeah, they support him in the hood."

While she did acknowledge the initial skepticism surrounding Trump, she felt perceptions shifted over time. "…at first I don’t think people was f**ing with him. But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money, ah baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office," Sexyy Red commented, having previously labeled Trump as "funny".

As a result of her comments, one X user went as far as to tweet: "Sexyy Red had to get rid of them Trump supporter allegations, QUICK!"

The tour is set to commence in Boston, running until December, and offering fans a chance to witness the rapper's fiery talent live.
