Tommy Lee Jones' daughter Victoria, 34, found dead in San Francisco hotel room
Tommy Lee Jones is mourning the loss of his daughter Victoria after she was found dead in an upscale San Francisco hotel in the early hours of New Year’s Day. Victoria, who briefly worked as a child actor, was 34.
Emergency services were called to the Fairmont San Francisco at 2:52am on Thursday, January 1.
The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene following an assessment, with police and the Medical Examiner also responding. At this time, no cause of death has been released.
The woman was later identified as Victoria, the daughter Jones shared with his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. The news was first reported by TMZ, before being confirmed by the Daily Mail.
Emergency response and police statement
A source told the Daily Mail: “A white female around her mid-30s was found unresponsive and the hotel staff was alerted. CPR was done, but she was pronounced deceased by the emergency/ambulance crew that responded to the scene.”
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department said: “On 1/1/26 at approximately 3:14 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to a hotel located on the 900 block of Mason street regarding a report of a deceased person.”
The statement continued: “At the scene, officers met with medics, who declared the adult female deceased. The Medical Examiner arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.”
Victoria’s life and acting work
Victoria Kafka Jones was born on September 3, 1991. She made her movie debut in 2002 with a small role in Men in Black II, which starred her father alongside Will Smith. She later appeared in a handful of projects as a child, including a 2005 episode of One Tree Hill and a role in the Western The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, directed by Jones.
Although she stepped away from acting, Victoria continued to attend red carpet events with her father over the years, including the 2017 premiere of Just Getting Started and the Tokyo International Film Festival, where Jones served as president of the international competition jury.
Speaking about directing his daughter, Jones said, per the Daily Mail: “She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish. When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish.”
He also recalled a moment from her teenage years: “She had to get up at 5am for her part. One morning, she wouldn’t get out of bed. I said: ‘Honey, this is work.’ But she wouldn’t budge.”

Jones welcomed Victoria and her brother Austin, now 42, with Cloughley, whom he was married to from 1981 to 1996. The Daily Mail has contacted Jones’s representatives, the Fairmont San Francisco, and the San Francisco Police Department for comment.
