A woman has hit back at people calling one of her Disney World outfits "inappropriate" on social media.

Now, I think we're all pretty much aware of the fact that Disney has a certain dress code at their parks and resorts - after all, it is a place full of children. In its own words, Disney "reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests".

However, that doesn't mean that more mature Disney fans don't want to look their absolute best when visiting the parks.

One of these fans is Jessie Lee, who did not expect to garner so much attention on social media after she decided to share photos from her summer trip to Orlando.

Lee had been working at the parks as part of the company's cultural exchange program at Disney World in Florida, and - on her off days - often visited the beloved theme parks.

While the 21-year-old shared a lot of different moments from her experience on TikTok, there was one particular video that blew up on the social media platform - and it's all because of her outfit.

For the most part, Jessie was given uniforms to wear at the park by her bosses, however, on her days off, she was allowed to enter "the most magical place on Earth" in her regular clothes.

In several images posted online, the student can be seen wearing a red crop top and red-and-white gingham shorts along with a pair of Snow White-inspired mouse ears, which left some people slamming the influencer for her "inappropriate" choices.

Replying to a comment that slated her attire, the star posted more shots of her wearing the combo, which set off a heated debate in the comment section.

"Kinda [inappopriate]," one user wrote. "I mean you can't deny it's becoming a bit much. But hey, do you."

"It looks like a nappy," added another.

A third even commented: "Not necessarily inappropriate, but looks dumb. Like a toddler wearing bloomers. Not cute."

"It is [inappropriate] though. I was actually shocked how many people dress this way at Disney. I thought they were strict on dress code but they don't seem to have one at all," another TikToker stated.

According to their official website, the park has "suggested" that all visitors wear "Proper attire" adding: "The parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. Ensuring that the parks are family-friendly is an important part of the Disney experience. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense."

They also go on to state clothing which, by nature, "exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment" should not be worn that the establishment either.

As previously mentioned, if any guest is thought to be breaking these rules, the park reserves the right to ask them to change their outfit via the gift shop or may even remove them from the premises altogether.

However, not everyone was against the outfit - some even called it "cute".

Jessie later addressed the issue in yet another video shocked at how "mad" people were at her for wearing the outfit.

The British-born student went on to emphasize that she did not "break" Disney's dress code.

"I've been quite a few times [and] I know what people wear at Disney," she said. "I know what is deemed acceptable and what isn't."

She continued: "And I don't think my outfit was very unacceptable."

Jessie also added that while some people may deem the amount of skin she was showing as "excessive," but she doesn't.

"The top was fully high neck and had sleeves," she stated in the clip. "And I [was wearing] low-rise shorts which fully cover everything. I just have my legs out and my stomach out, so if that's what 'excessive amounts of skin' means, then I'm really sorry."

I mean, the truth of the matter is that if the staff at Disney had no problem, then why should anyone else?
