I'd imagine that, for many people, telling your family about your big win is probably one of the most exciting parts about winning the lottery.
However, one man in China has decided to keep the knowledge entirely to himself.
Known only by the pseudonym 'Mr Li', the man reportedly intends not to tell his wife and child that he won a whopping 219 million yuan ($30 million) jackpot for fear it will make them lazy.
He's so determined to keep it a secret that he arrived to claim his winnings in a yellow cartoon character suit.
Photos show the 'Mr Li' wearing the ridiculous outfit as he is handed an enormous cheque at the letter office in Nanning, in the southern region of Guangxi, last week on October 24.
According to a report by Nanning Evening News, per the Daily Mail, the man was over the moon to have won - but determined to keep his family in the dark.
"I did not tell my wife and child for fear that they would be too complacent and would not work or work hard in the future," he told the outlet.
Despite being eager to keep his winnings a secret, 'Mr Li' claimed to have been playing the lottery religiously for over a decade. For the winning draw, he bought 40 tickets in a shop in Litang, a town east of the regional capital of Nanning.

Rather than trying to increase his own odds, the man bought multiple tickets to increase his potential earnings. Each of his 40 tickets had the same seven numbers he has been using for years: 2, 15, 19, 26, 27, 29, and 2. The lottery company paid out 5.48 million yuan ($752,000) per ticket.
When he traveled to Nanning to collect his winnings, 'Mr Li' said he was too "afraid" to leave his hotel room in case he misplaced his ticket.
"I did not leave the hotel because I was afraid to go out and lose the lottery ticket," he told Nanning Evening News.

Since collecting the 171.6 million yuan (after tax), he has already donated 5 million yuan to charity. As for what he will do with the remaining 166.6 million yuan, the winner said he has not yet decided how to spend the jackpot.
