A sports reporter has been commended for her actions online after footage of her Monday night broadcast swiftly went viral.
CBS Miami reporter Samantha Rivera was covering the Stanley Cup Final broadcast earlier this week, which saw the Las Vegas Golden Knights win 7-2 against the Florida Panthers.
During her coverage, however, she was seen shoving a rowdy fan out of the way so she could continue to report on the game.
And it was this boss moment that went viral, being seen just under 13 million times on Twitter.
Check out the moment below:
Rivera, 28, stiff-armed a fan out of her frame when the person attempted to disrupt her coverage, with the reporter telling him: "Nope! Nope! Nope!"
Rivera later posted the footage to her own Twitter account, writing: "Listen, I don't give a damn what team you're rooting for - get the hell out of my face when I'm working and respect that I'm here to do my job.
"Excited to get back home to some classy #Panthers fans for game 3!!"
Many netizens took to the social media platform to praise the young reporter, with one person writing: "That was one of the best professionals that didn't break and you kept him from interfering in your broadcast fully. What a stiff arm. That is the best I have ever seen in years. You rock."
"Great job standing your ground. The fact they didn't have security with you is crazy but turns out you don't need it lol," another person added.
A further user joked that Rivera would be a great sports star, quipping: "Look at the way she plants her hand and drives through. That's a practiced stiff arm. She didn't give dude an inch. 10/10," to which another user said: "I hear the Patriots might draft her if she doesn't go to Miami in the first round."
While the unplanned moment did well on Twitter, Rivera told Yahoo that it's good encouragement for reporters to "stay calm" if they ever find themselves in similar situations.
"I think I did exactly what I needed to do in the right moment," she says.
Ultimately, Rivera revealed her only thought at the time was staying focused on doing her job, whilst also maintaining her composure and doing her job, adding: "I had to focus on my next live shot. I had to be like, alright, let's keep looking at these notes and keep looking at what I have to do next. Focus on that and then we'll worry about all the other stuff afterwards."
Though, the young reporter did admit that she had felt quite frustrated after the incident. "I was mad, I was annoyed and I had adrenaline in me as soon as it happened," she recounted. "I was annoyed that somebody would come into my workspace and try to disrespect it like that, because I wouldn't go to somebody else's place of work and try to mess up what they're doing."
