A former "Miss Hitler" beauty pageant contestant has been jailed for being a member of the banned far-right terror group National Action (NA).

Alice Cutter, 23, was handed a three-year sentence at Birmingham Crown Court, and she wasn't alone in her sentencing, with her boyfriend Mark Jones, 25, being handed a five-and-a-half-year sentence for his involvement.

This Australian couple were condemned after flying a Nazi flag from their home:

Sky News reports that the pair were first convicted in March alongside Garry Jack and Connor Scothern, who were described as neo-Nazi "diehards".

Jack is facing four and a half years behind bars, meanwhile, Scothern was sentenced to 18 months detention.

During Cutter's trial, the jury was shown messages where the 23-year-old joked about gassing synagogues, using a Jew's head as a football, and saying "Rot in hell, bitch" after she found out about MP Jo Cox's murder at the hands of far-right sympathizer Thomas Mair.

Cutter, a waitress, also entered the Miss Hitler beauty contest as Miss Buchenwald - a name taken from a Nazi death camp.

However, the 23-year-old claimed that she has never been a member of the NA, even though she was present at the banned group's rallies where banners reading "Hitler was right" were raised.

Judge Paul Farrer QC told the four: "Following proscription [of National Action], you weren't prepared to dissociate yourselves from the vile ideology of this group and therefore defied the ban and continued as members".

Judge Farrer said Jones had played "a significant role in the continuation of the organization" after its ban in 2016.

He described Cutter as a "trusted confidante" of one of the group's leaders and said she was in a "committed relationship" with Jones.

Prosecutors alleged that all four defendants were "active" group members even after the NA was banned.

Per the Metro, the NA was labeled "racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic" by the then-home secretary Amber Rudd, and it was banned in December 2016 after a number of rallies and incidents.
