Harry and Meghan's Netflix documentary series trailer drops, receives praise from fans

A documentary series about Harry and Meghan is set to be released on Netflix, and fans are absolutely loving the trailer!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as working royals in 2020, choosing to live an independent family life in the US. The pair have returned to the UK a handful of times, including for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September.

As reported by the Guardian, Prince Harry was not permitted to wear his military uniform at the state funeral of his grandmother. However, he received special permission from King Charles that allowed him to wear it whilst attending a vigil at her coffin.

Followers of the couple are getting excited on social media, as a new Netflix series, Harry and Meghan, intends to give a behind-closed-doors look at their lives.

Netflix is calling the documentary a "global event" and will reportedly be available on December 8, per Sky News.

The trailer features a series of still images of the couple, some showing joyous moments and others appearing to show moments of high emotion that the general public otherwise would never see.

Harry is questioned: "Why did you want to me this documentary?" to which he responds: "No one sees what's happening behind closed doors."

The streaming service states: "Harry and Meghan is an unprecedented six-part documentary series that explores the span of their relationship, from the early days of the couple’s courtship to the challenges and controversies that prompted them to step back from the royal family."

Fans are full of praise for the couple after watching the minute-long trailer, with one person saying: "A collection of photos shared by #HarryandMeghan ahead of their Netflix docu-series. It’s a real and true love story."

A second said: "Their love isn't their weakness, their love is their greatest strength", and a third added: "LOOK AT THEM! THEY ARE THE CUTEST."

The documentary is directed by Liz Garbus who has twice been nominated for an Academy Award and is an Emmy winner.

As per Sky, Harry and Meghan signed lucrative deals thought to be worth over $100 million with Netflix and Spotify after the stepped back from royal duties and moved to the US.

We can't wait to see what the documentary has in store!
