According to newly released documents regarding Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier allegedly stated that Bill Clinton "likes them young," in regards to women.
As previously reported, New York district judge Loretta Preska ruled that the identities of individuals linked to Epstein should no longer be shrouded in secrecy. The once-anonymous "John and Jane Does" have now been named, exposing a network of influential figures tied to the disgraced financier.
The revelation stems from a defamation lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre, a victim of Epstein, against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's former associate and convicted child trafficker. Maxwell, convicted in December 2021 for sex trafficking and related charges, played a pivotal role in procuring teenage girls for Epstein, according to reports by BBC News.
Among the trove of unsealed documents, another victim, Johanna Sjoberg, testified in a 2016 deposition about Epstein's remarks concerning Clinton's ties to him. Under sworn testimony, Sjoberg stated: "[Epstein] said one time that Clinton likes them young, referring to girls," per The New York Times.
Sjoberg clarified that while she knew of Epstein's dealings with Clinton, she wasn't aware of their friendship until reading a Vanity Fair article about their joint trip to Africa. However, she asserted that she never personally met Clinton, never saw him on Epstein's Caribbean island, and never witnessed him being transported by helicopter by Maxwell.
Former President Clinton's name appears in the released documents at least 73 times. Despite the numerous mentions, there is no indication of Clinton's involvement in any criminal activities, and he is not accused of any wrongdoing.
His spokesperson emphasized to CNN that it has been nearly two decades since Clinton last had contact with Epstein, vehemently denying any knowledge of Epstein's crimes.
Flight logs had previously shown that Clinton traveled on Epstein's private jet in 2002 and 2003 to destinations beyond the Caribbean. Giuffre claimed she encountered Clinton on Epstein's Caribbean island.
The documents also reveal Sjoberg's account of Epstein's statement about contacting Donald Trump, emphasizing that it doesn't imply any wrongdoing by the 45th president.
Sjoberg also alleges that Prince Andrew groped her at Epstein's Manhattan apartment in 2001, and in a 2016 interview under oath, Sjoberg mentioned meeting Michael Jackson at Epstein's house in Palm Beach, per BBC News.
When asked whether she massaged Jackson or had any physical interaction with him during their meeting, Sjoberg clarified: "I did not."
The timing and details of the meeting were not disclosed in the documents.
More files are expected to be released in the coming days.
