A man has shared a racist letter he received after placing a Black Santa Claus Christmas decoration in his yard.

According to a report by TooFab, the rude and prejudiced note was sent to Chris Kennedy, an African-American man who lives in Little Rock in Arkansas.

On Tuesday, November 24, Kennedy shared the contents of the letter (which purported to be from the Lakewood Property Owners Association), in a now-unavailable Facebook Live video.

Be warned - the following quote contains racist language some readers may find upsetting:

The letter was signed "Santa Claus", and also featured a picture of Santa giving the thumbs down. It reads:

"Please remove your negro Santa Claus yard decoration. You should not try to deceive children into believing that I am a negro.

"I am a Caucasian (white man, to you) and have been for the past 600 years. Your being jealous of my race is no excuse for your dishonesty.

"Besides that, you are making yourself the laughing stock of the neighborhood.

"Obviously, your values are not that of the Lakewood area and maybe you should move to a neighborhood out east with the rest of your racist kind."

Per TooFab, Kennedy himself stated in his video: "I have been here for three years and have never had any problems out of anybody with Black Santa I am actually being as nice as I can in this very moment because I am actually filled with rage."

He continued: "But I am going to honor my son. So I'm going to display kindness. This is worse than when the guy next door tried to take him down.

"I really don't know what to say... but I wanted people to see the kind of thing that I literally deal with while living next door to a white supremacist."

However, after his video went viral on social media, Kennedy was inundated with positive letters and early festive gifts from other neighbors who were only too happy to show their support.

Taking to Facebook on November 25, Kennedy shared another letter he had received, which read: "I saw the video you posted. It broke my heart."

The letter continued:

"I live near you and look forward to your 'Black Santa' and other Christmas [decorations] every year. It brings light that our neighborhood is diverse and accepting.

"Please do not let the hate of one neighbor bring you down. I promise you there are many more of us who love your yard.

"You and your family are as much a part of this community as anyone else. We see you. We hear you. We stand with you. Long Live Black Santa!"

Per Raw Story, Lakewood Property Owners Association executive director Evan Blake has denied the letter came from them and claims that Kennedy, his family, and their decorations, are more than welcome in the community.

Blake stated: "We don't want the people that wrote that letter in the neighborhood. That's what we don't want."
