A man who believes he's the lost son of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles says his appearance may have been altered to make him look less like the Royals.

Per News.com.au, Simon Dorante-Day - a British-born engineer who now resides in Australia after being adopted - thinks he's the secret long lost son of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.

Appearing on This Morning on April 30, Dorante-Day revealed his theories of why he's not considered to be the son of the royal couple.

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the 55-year-old claimed his eyes changed from blue to brown when he was eight.

What's more, he agreed with Holly when she asked if he believed "something" had been done to his eyes and teeth to alter how he looked to make him look less like his birth parents.

Dorante-Day was adopted by a family from Portsmouth, England - a family who had links to the British Royal Family. Growing up, he was allegedly told by his adoptive grandmother that he was Charles' son.

Appearing on video link from Australia, he said on This Morning:

"I don't think that they had any choice but to do that.

"But it was because of the gossip in Portsmouth around the time. In those times, blue and blue made blue. There was never any inquisition about that.

"So my optometrist will tell you that one of my lenses is perfectly round and one of them is oval-shaped like a football - a rugby football [...] So this is why I have a vision problem.

"So something was done to my eyes."

His claims left Phil surprised, as the host responded: "Holly's got blue eyes but she's never made any claims on royal descent."

Hosts Holly and Phil also spoke to a specialist from an eye hospital in London in a bid to clear up the claims.

The hospital said they were unsure of the procedure Dorante-Day had mentioned, before adding that anything of that nature would have been very dangerous to go through with in the early 1970s.

Per News.com.au, Dorante-Day believes he was conceived in secret back in 1966, when Prince Charles was 17 and Parker-Bowles was 18 - prior to Charles' infamous marriage to Princess Diana in 1981.
