An ABC News reporter filmed an at-home segment while not wearing any pants and was subsequently called out by amused social media users.

The incident took place on Tuesday's Good Morning America and featured Will Reeve, who later responded to his lack of pants on Twitter.

"I have ARRIVED," he tweeted before adding, "in the most hilariously mortifying way possible."

After the show was aired, Reeve was inundated with tweets calling him out for not being fully dressed below the waist as he was telecommunicated onto the show from his home.

One user who was a fan of the look joked: ''Own that look, king. Pants days are over."

This comes as many on-air talent joke about not being dressed from the waist down. However, the funny side of the joke only exists when viewers are unable to tell that they are half-dressed, which was not the case for Reeve.

This news reporter's naked husband was spotted in the background of her at-home segment:

The news reporter also responded to the original viral tweet about the slip-up. Detroit News film critic Adam Graham tweeted a picture of Reeve, writing "put some pants on" and he replied, "They're shorts I promise."

Reeve then joked that he "will not be getting hired as a camera operator any time soon."

Per Yahoo News, he also responded to a Twitter user who incorrectly identified him as his colleague Tom Llamas, writing that the man in the clip is "definitely" Llamas: "for sure 100% no way was it me framing up the shot alone and blowing it."

This comes as a number of reporters have suffered similar fails while recording news segments at home during the coronavirus pandemic. This topless father, for example, interrupted his daughter's news broadcast as she worked from home.
