An OnlyFans star has opened up about being disowned by her family after they found out about the nature of her content.
Kayla Jade, an Australian content creator on the adult platform, took to TikTok in a two-part video to share the story about how she was disowned after a family member paid and then shared her explicit photos in a group chat.
"So this is the story of how I got disowned by my family for starting an OYF [OnlyFans]," she started, telling her fans that she decided to embark on her journey a year and a half ago, now earning a spot in the top 0.1 of creators on the platform.
She decided that while she wasn't going to shy away from it, she also "didn't throw it in [her friend's and family's] faces", even going as far as setting up alternative social media accounts to promote her content.
However, as her popularity grew, it became difficult to keep the two worlds separate.
"But as time went on, I got bigger and bigger and people started seeing my stuff," she continued. "Friends started seeing my stuff, and you know, eventually my family saw it. But again, I feel like it's one of them things where you have to be nosey to look into it."
The star then said that when her mom and sister found out, they were "too scared" to confront her about it, and got her dad to speak to her instead. Her dad was surprisingly "super supportive" and "grounded" about the entire thing.
"Other than him, no one else could look me in the eye and talk to me about it," she told her 322,000 followers.
But later another family member, who she didn't outrightly name but said he was a "45-year-old man", found her account.
"He paid for a bunch of my stuff, screen-shotted my pictures and sent them to the family. He didn't need to be so aggressive, he could have just told them," she said before adding that other family members also weren't happy about her new career.
"I then got a message from another family member, completely disowning me," she explained. "They took me off every [social media] platform and didn't speak to me for a year. I was hurt but glad to have that toxicity out of my life."
Kayla did get the opportunity to confront this man, saying: "I was fuming, it's just so violating, I trusted him, thought we had a good relationship. I confronted him about it. He didn't admit it, blamed it on other people, he couldn't handle his actions."
"I think when people have nothing going on in their own lives, they just start drama," she added of the situation.
However, now Kayla is "happier", so that's all that matters and it seems as though her followers did their best to provide her with support, despite some of the hateful comments on her TikTok page.
"Friends & family should be your biggest fans, literally, they should celebrate you, if not then put massive boundaries to protect your mental health," wrote one user, while another added: "Good on you , its your life and up to you what you do and if they can't accept that then they should stay away from you."
A third also pointed out that it was a form of income saying: "Tbh u are making money. who cares how u make it. as long as u are making it and they don’t have to pay for u is all that should matter."

Kayla concluded her story with voicing her opinion about the way in which people treat sex workers.
"The way people treat sex workers is disgusting," she said. "You think they would try and get us help not ruin our lives. No respect for privacy whatsoever, we're just here earning and living, the last thing we need is people investigating our life."
