Sam Smith's concerts are once again making headlines, with the singer's current tour now drawing criticism from Spencer Morgan, son of former CNN presenter Piers Morgan.
Five-time Grammy Award winner Smith performed in Madrid over the weekend as part of their Gloria tour, in support of the album of the same name they released earlier this year.
The live shows are open to people of all ages, including children, which has drawn criticisms from many conservative quarters, who believe the provocative nature of the concerts' content isn't suitable for minors.
One such critic is Spencer Morgan, who took to Twitter to quote tweet a selection of images from the Madrid show, commenting, "Anyone taking their kids to that needs their kids taking away."
Unsurprisingly, the post generated a deluge of feedback, both in agreement with Morgan and in support of Smith.
One person in the replies said, "Any adults going to this need to be committed" while another commented, "Grotesque sight!"
The takedowns of Smith didn't end there, though, with another user tweeting, "The guys vile. How that can even be advertised to allow children to partake is perverse. Parents need to give their heads a wobble."

However, there was still some support for Smith, with one user goading Morgan by saying "couldn't get tickets?" while another made a comparison to the live shows of Little Mix and accusing Morgan of being homophobic.

The nature of Smith's shows on this most recent tour has been a constant source of furious debate, especially among conservatives and members of the far-right. Smith, meanwhile, has just been announced as the final artist to be contributing to the soundtrack for the upcoming Barbie film, with a song entitled 'Man I am'.
Morgan's own parent, Piers, currently presents on TalkTV having previously appeared on CNN, where his show Piers Morgan Live was cancelled in 2014 due to poor ratings. He was also fired as editor of British newspaper the Daily Mirror in 2004 after publishing fake photos of British soldiers appearing to torture Iraqi prisoners. Morgan has also come under fire on social media over the years for his friendship with Donald Trump and his constant criticism of Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
