Prince Harry has hilariously been blocked from coronation viewers' view by Princess Anne's feathered hat.

Today, million of people tuned in to watch the coronation of King Charles III, in what is only the second televised coronation in history - the first being his mother the late Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953.

The event, which started earlier today (May 6) at Westminster Abbey, saw a host of prominent figures gather together to watch the 74-year-old officially take on the role of Head of State, just like his mother before him.

Queen Elizabeth II reigned from February 6, 1952, until her death on September 8, 2022, and the baton was swiftly passed to King Charles to continue to British, royal legacy. Alongside King Charles' formal crowning, Queen Camilla will also be officially crowned standing beside her husband, marking the first coronation the country has seen in 70 years.

King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla were joined by other members of the Royal Family - including the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Anne, and Prince Harry, who had flown in from his home in Montecito, California, to be there.

His wife, Meghan Markle, and both of his children, four-year-old Archie and one-year-old Lilibet, stayed home in Santa Barbara, California.

It is believed that Harry will immediately return to the United States in order to celebrate his son's fourth birthday, which is also today.

However, 40-year-old Harry appears to have taken the spotlight from his father, after Twitter users hilariously captured the moment a feather from his aunt Princess Anne's hat got in his way. "Prince Harry is hidden behind the feather on Princess Anne's hat... last time it was a candle [...]," someone tweeted.

Another person added: "In the good old days on Twitter. Princess Anne's hat would have its own account by now - running handy interference on Harry, too."

"Harry's view is completely and cruelly obscured by Princess Anne's hat! Get Oprah on the line," a further comment read.

One viewer even pondered if the decision to sit the Duke of Sussex behind his aunt's obscuring hat was deliberate:

In fact, some people didn't even question it, with one viewer writing: "Meticulously planned seating arrangement. Prince Harry’s view blocked by Princess Royal’s hat."

"Think the palace have deliberately sat Anne with her big feathered hat in front of Harry," a second added.

World leaders were also in attendance, including the First Minister of Scotland Humza Yousaf, the President of France Emmanuel Macron, and the First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden. Thousands of eager royalists also gathered in and around London to witness the history-making moment King Charles signed his life to his country as well as the 14 other Commonwealth realms in which he will continue his late mother's duties.
