The Queen has paid tribute to her late husband Prince Phillip by wearing a piece of jewelry she wore on their wedding day.
Along with her majesty, the nation endured heartbreak when Buckingham Palace announced that the Duke of Edinburgh passed away peacefully on April 9, at the age of 99.
And Her Majesty has proved her inspiring strength once more as she put on a brave face in front of a virtual audience during a video call from Windsor Castle, in what was her first royal engagement since her husband's funeral on April 17.

The royal duty took place just 10 days since the funeral, which only had 30 people attend as a result of the coronavirus restrictions in the UK.
And eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice The Queen's touching tribute to her husband, as she wore a diamond brooch that was reportedly a sweet nod to her wedding day.

The Sun originally reported that the brooch Her Majesty wore is believed to be the Nizam of Hyderabad floral royal brooch which was part of a tiara gifted to her on her wedding day in 1947.
The beautiful piece of jewelry from Cartier was gifted to The Queen by Nizam of Hyderabad, Osman Ali Khan.
He was the last ruler of the Indian princely state of Nizam and Berar.

After her wedding day, The Queen decided to detach the flowers from the diamond tiara and instead turn them into two brooches, one of which she can be seen wearing in the video call.
Write Royalty reported that the gift was officially recorded in her wedding list as: "A Diamond Tiara, English Rose and foliage design, and a Diamond Necklace."

It comes as The Queen last week addressed the public's reaction following Prince Phillip's death.
She thanked the people for their support during this period "of great sadness".
In an emotional address, Her Majesty wrote:
"I have, on the occasion of my 95th birthday today, received many messages of good wishes, which I very much appreciate.
"While as a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort to us all to see and to hear the tributes paid to my husband, from those within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and around the world.
"My family and I would like to thank you all for the support and kindness shown to us in recent days.
"We have been deeply touched, and continue to be reminded that Philip had such an extraordinary impact on countless people throughout his life."
He was laid to rest at St George's Chapel, on the grounds of Windsor Castle in the south of England, in a funeral service comprising of the Queen and 29 other hand-picked special guests.
These guests included Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Anne, and Kate Middleton, among others.
