More than 100,000 people have signed a petition to make Monday a Bank Holiday if England wins the Euros 2020.
The petition comes after England beat Denmark in the semi-final of the UEFA European Championship, taking the men's team to the final of a major tournament for the first time since 1966, as per the BBC.
At the time of writing, the petition has received 112,000 signatures and counting, which means that it will be considered by the UK parliament as all petitions over 100K signatures are.
The petition reads: "England may be playing a European Championship Final at 8pm on Sunday 11th July. It would be beneficial and sensible to give the country the day off the next day if England win, in the form of an extra Bank Holiday Monday [sic]."

England emerged victorious last night (July 7), after a successful penalty came at the 103rd minute of the game following Raheem Sterling being fouled by Joakim Maehle.
The winning goal - which took England to a 2-1 victory over Denmark - was scored by Harry Kane, with Denmark scoring an own goal too.
The Three Lions men's team will now face off Italy in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday, July 11.
England fans are pictured below celebrating last night's victory at Wembley Stadium:

If England wins on Sunday night, it will be the first time the team has ever won the Euros, despite nine previous appearances in the tournament and two semi-finals in 1968 and 1996, as per National World.
People will have to wait "for less than a day for a government response" according to the petition.
However, the Mirror reports that Prime Minister Boris Johnson implied that he would consider making Monday a Bank Holiday if England emerges victorious.
The newspaper reports that when asked the question, he said: "I think that would be tempting fate - let's see what happens."
But it has been suggested that it would be logistically difficult for employers in England to give people the day off with so little notice.
One Whitehall source told the Mirror: "Logistically I don't know how that's possible.
"You’d only be able to announce that at 10 pm if they win, which seems a little bit unreasonable for employers."
Nevertheless, IT'S COMING HOME!
