Britiain's Got Talent contestant Emma Jones has sadly passed away at age 32.
The late vocalist shot to fame on the 2015 series of the competition show, singing her version of 'Ave Maria' by Andrea Bocelli.
The audition, which now has almost five million views on YouTube, impressed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams.
All four judges gave the singer, who was just 23 then, a standing ovation and heavily praised her.
Watch Jones' performance below:Comedian Williams, 52, was stunned by Jones' vocals, remarking: "You should be confident Emma – very few of us could ever sing like that."
Actress Holden, 53, went on to describe her audition as "one of the most beautiful auditions that [the judges had seen] all day".
According to OK Magazine, Jones heartbreakingly revealed after she got through that she lives on her own, sharing: "I don't like it as such, well, I hate it actually."
"Growing up I wasn't confident at all. My first audition was so nerve-wracking," she said, adding: "I couldn't believe I got a standing ovation. [It] was the best day in my whole, entire life."
The contestant made it to the semi-finals, where she sang 'Pie Jesu' by Sarah Brightman, accompanied by a quartet playing guitars.
Jones' loved ones announced on Facebook that the Cumbrian musician passed away on Valentine's Day (February 14).
Taking to her official Facebook page, they wrote: "I’m sorry to have to tell you that Emma Jones has died. She died on Valentine’s Day after being diagnosed with multiple organ cancer. The doctor thinks it began as ovarian cancer and spread to other organs,’ it read."
Many fans have shared their condolences in the comment section as one user wrote: "I’m absolutely devastated to read that Emma passed away... I often [listened] to her first audition on my phone and wondered what she was doing in her life since the program. Heartbreaking to find out that she had passed away. God bless Emma."
Another said: "So sad to hear of the passing of Emma. Such a pure and gentle soul. And what a beautiful voice. The hall's of heaven will be filled with the sound of your voice. Rest in peace. Emma."
A third commented: "This is heartbreaking news. Emma was so young, so sweet and so incredibly talented."
Jones' former partner John Hastings spoke about the singer's audition at a memorial in Allonby’s Christ Church on May 1, per The Sun.
"Like everyone else in Cumbria, I was both proud and touched by her exploits on Britain’s Got Talent, when she overcame her nerves to wow the judges and viewers – the applause made her cry, but I knew these were good tears," he shared.
"It’s a great shame that we will never see her again, but we still have her performances online to cherish and fondly remember her by," he added.
