Man who died after entering tiger enclosure asked couple chilling question before going in
Just hours after a man was killed by a tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, England, footage of his last moments circulated online.
The man who died after being attacked by a tiger at a wildlife park was allegedly seen “dancing with his EarPods in” before jumping into its enclosure “to play” with the big cat.
Park rangers acted quickly to secure the tiger but it was too late
Emergency services rushed to the scene at 1.35PM after receiving calls that a man had jumped into a tiger enclosure. Tragically, the man, believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A visitor at the scene told The Mirror: “The man who I saw on the bridge with his EarPods in dancing was happily enjoying seeing the tiger.
"I'm not sure if he was with a carer or family member, but I honestly do think he just wanted to play with the tiger."
The young man, who has not yet been named, is thought to have leapt from a viewing platform before big cat Altai dragged him away at the wildlife park yesterday.
Moments later, rangers fired two warning shots from a shotgun to scare the male tiger away before he retreated to his pen and was quickly secured, but it was too late, and the man had already been mauled to death.
A witness to the tragic incident claimed the man was “happily enjoying seeing the tiger” and asked a fellow visitor to take a photo of him with the cat in the background.
Marie wrote on Facebook: “20 minutes before today’s tragic incident at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, this tiger was sat in the sunshine.
“The man who I saw on the bridge with his EarPods in dancing was happily enjoying seeing the tiger.
“He obviously wasn’t with anyone, and he asked a total stranger to take a picture of him with the tiger in the background. Probably the last photo on his phone.
“I’m not sure if he was with a carer or family member, but I honestly do think he just wanted to play with the tiger."
The man's final moments were captured on camera
The video footage of his final moments is now circulating online. It claims to capture the moment the now-deceased man asks onlookers to take a photo of him with the tiger.
In it, a man approaches a couple and asks them to take a picture of himself and his soon-to-be killer, saying: "Can you grab a shot of myself with the tiger?"
While the footage is focused on the tiger in the enclosure, we do not see the identity of the man.
A woman agrees to help before he can be heard asking her for "one more".
He thanks her for the help before the video ends, and moments later he allegedly jumped from a viewing platform overlooking the tiger enclosure, entering the enclosure.
