The man who sent former BBC News reporter Huw Edwards indecent images of children has been named and pictured.

As previously reported, Edwards has confessed to creating indecent images of children.
The 62-year-old appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court yesterday, where he admitted to three offences committed between December 2020 and April 2022, according to Sky News.
Edwards possessed 41 images on WhatsApp, whichs were categorized as seven category A, 12 category B, and 22 category C.
Category A images are the most severe, involving penetrative sexual activity, sexual activity with animals, or sadism.
Category B images involve non-penetrative sexual activity, while category C images do not depict sexual activity.

The Metropolitan Police arrested Edwards last November, with charges officially filed on June 26.
The term "making" includes activities such as opening, accessing, downloading, and storing images.
Huw Edwards was a prominent figure at the BBC, known for hosting News At Ten for 20 years and covering major events like Queen Elizabeth II's death and funeral.
Before resigning in April, he was the highest-paid newsreader, earning between £475,000 and £479,999 for the year 2023/24.

Alex Williams, 25, sent Edwards 41 images, including two videos of a boy as young as seven, in a disturbing WhatsApp exchange, as reported by the Sun.
Williams had previously pleaded guilty to multiple child sex offences and received a suspended sentence.
The investigation into Williams led to the discovery of Edwards' crimes.
The court heard that Edwards and Williams had engaged in an online chat on WhatsApp between December 2020 and August 2021.

During this period, Williams sent Edwards 377 sexual images, 41 of which were indecent images of children.
Williams pleaded guilty in March to seven offences related to possessing and distributing indecent images and received a 12-month jail term, suspended for two years.
Williams' family expressed shock upon learning of his crimes.
His parents revealed to the Daily Mail that Williams, who graduated from university in Cardiff two years ago, no longer lives with them and they had no knowledge of his offences.
Williams' grandmother also expressed surprise, describing him as a "quiet boy" who works in Cardiff.

The BBC confirmed yesterday that they were aware of Edwards' arrest in November but continued paying him for five more months.
Despite being suspended over separate allegations, Edwards remained employed on a full salary of nearly £480,000 until he resigned in April on medical advice.
The BBC, which recently reported Edwards as their third highest-paid star from April 2023 to March this year, condemned his "abhorrent behaviour."
