Yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their first portrait of daughter Lilibet in honor of the youngster's first birthday.

Parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were visiting the United Kingdom over the weekend to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee - but fortunately had time to host an adorable picnic for their daughter at their Windsor home of Frogmore Cottage.

The adorable shot was captured by photographer Misan Harriman, who shared the image to his Instagram page with the caption: "It was such a privilege to celebrate the 1st birthday of Lilibet with my family and hers! Joy and face painting all around."

The post who featured a photo with 40-year-old Markle and baby Lilibet posing alongside Harriman's wife and children.

Vogue also shared the cute photo of Lilibet on its Instagram page, accompanied by an article that revealed that close family and friends were in attendance for the "intimate and casual backyard picnic", believed to have included fellow members of the Royal family Zara and Mike Tindall, as well as their children.

However, after the public's first look at Lilibet went viral across all social media platforms - people were quick to point out just how much she looked like other members of the Royal Family - namely, her father Prince Harry and great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

And you can really see the strong genes in this family:

"The Queen must love Lili cuz she looks just like her. Meghan and Harry named her right. Princess Lilibet Diana," wrote one Twitter user.

A second added: "It’s the way Meghan and Harry gave this beautiful child the right name. She looks just like The Queen and you can still see Harry’s eyes. Wow! Princess Lilibet Diana."

And a third added: "Lilibet is the most beautiful royal, ever! She looks EXACTLY like her great grandmother, THE QUEEN!"

But Lilibet's red locks didn't go unnoticed by fans.

"Lilibet definitely looks like Prince Harry. Even the red hair," wrote one Twitter user.

Another wrote: "Aw, Lady Lilibet looks just like her father, Prince Harry did at that age! [She] even has his Spencer red hair. God bless her little heart!"

And another tweeted: "Lilibet Diana does look a lot like Prince Harry and her brother Archie. She has her father’s red hair and blue eyes."

Lilibet is certainly living up to her name - as that is the nickname given to The Queen when she was a child.

Speaking to People, a source close to Meghan and Harry revealed that they had asked The Queen for permission before naming their daughter after her great-grandmother.

"The Duke spoke with his family in advance of the announcement, in fact his grandmother was the first family member he called," the source said. "He shared their hope of naming their daughter Lilibet in her honor during that conversation. Had she not been supportive, they would not have used the name."
