Police issue urgent statement after three children go missing after day at Thorpe Park

An urgent search is underway for three children who have been reported missing following a day out the the UK theme park Thorpe Park.

According to authorities, Khandi (14), Amelia (9), and Malik (7) were last observed leaving the popular theme park and heading towards Staines town center shortly before 3:20PM (local time) on Monday (June 17).

The trio was reported missing around 7:00PM the same evening, and there are fears they may have traveled to London.

Surrey Police issued a statement appealing for public assistance in locating the missing children: "We are appealing for help in finding three missing children, who were last seen earlier this evening. Officers are currently out searching for Khandi, 14, Amelia, 9, and Malik, 7, who were reported missing just after 7pm after a day out at Thorpe Park in Chertsey."

Descriptions provided by the police indicate that Khandi is a slim-built Black female, approximately 160cm tall, last seen in black or grey jogging bottoms, a white top, white trainers, black-framed glasses, and multiple bracelets on each wrist.

Amelia, described as a slim European female standing 110cm tall, was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a grey long-sleeved top with "Believe" printed on it, and white trainers.

Malik, a slim European male also 110cm tall, was dressed in black jogging bottoms, black trainers, and a green long-sleeved top with stripes.

The two youngest children, Amelia and Malik, are related, according to police statements.

Authorities noted that all three children were seen walking away from Thorpe Park toward Staines town center at approximately 3:17PM.

Concern for their safety has escalated due to their young ages and the circumstances of their disappearance.

Surrey Police have urged anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Khandi, Amelia, and Malik to contact them immediately, referencing case number PR/SYP-20240617-0648.
