Jay went missing last Monday (June 17) and extensive searching has yet to yield any results.
He was last seen on Sunday, June 16 after attending the NRG music festival in Tenerife with his friends.
The 19-year-old was reported missing after walking alone into the mountainous area of Rural de Teno Park, near the village of Masca.
Jay had reportedly been staying at an Airbnb rental apartment with two people he met at the music festival.
Since Wednesday, dozens of police officers, rescue teams, and firefighters have been conducting a thorough search of the steep valley on the island's west coast, utilizing dogs, drones, and a helicopter.
In an effort to aid the search, Warren Slater, Jay's father, shared a blurry still image from a security camera in Santiago del Teide.
The image, circulated by British media, depicts a person who could potentially be Jay.
Mayor Emilio Jose Navarro confirmed to Reuters that the Civil Guard are combing through CCTV images, and have requested any footage from the town hall's security cameras. Navarro added that investigators have been put in contact with the company who operates those particular cameras.
The mayor also confirmed that police have interviewed several witnesses, some of whom believe they saw Jay on the coast watching Euro 2024 soccer matches.
The shared image shows an individual walking across a church square in Santiago del Teide village around 6:00PM on the day Jay went missing. The person's face is indistinguishable.

This would have been around 10 hours after Jay was last seen.
The footage came about after Jay's family revealed that somebody had "come forward" claiming they saw somebody who resembled Jay on June 17.
In a statement to the MailOnline, concerned mom Debbie said: "Someone has come forward to say they saw someone who they thought was Jay walking back down the road sat on a bench.
“He was with two men looking a bit worse for wear, and they were by a church, this guy has come forward and told the police about it and they are looking into it. We don’t know if it was Jay for sure, but it’s a start."
The village lies approximately 7km from the Airbnb where Jay spent the evening prior.
The Civil Guard in Tenerife have yet to confirm the validity of this lead as a credible possibility, but a spokesperson has said, per LBC: "Nothing has been ruled out and nothing has been ruled."
Tom Beckett, a British national familiar with the Masca ravine area, expressed doubts about Slater reaching Santiago del Teide, telling Reuters that the area is so popular with tourists, that Jay would have been seen if he stuck to the road.
Speaking from Tenerife, Debbie, Jay's mom, revealed that a witness claimed to have seen Jay with two men about ten hours after he was last seen on Monday morning, per the Sun.
The sighting allegedly took place 3.5 miles away in Santiago del Teide.
"Someone has come forward to say they saw someone who they thought was Jay walking back down the road sat on a bench," Debbie told Mail Online.
