Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to step back from royal duties, a clip of Meghan Markle interacting with a fan has resurfaced online.
The clip of Meghan Markle's kindhearted act comes from a March 2016 taping of the BUILD Series in New York City, which shows her discussing social media with host Donna Freydkin. Markle said that she viewed social media as a "great way to connect with people."
During this discussion, Meghan called out a fan in the audience called Emily Sorrells, a high school at the time, who she actually knew through Twitter.
Take a look at the heartwarming footage in the video below:Megan states: "I only know (Emily) through Twitter and I knew she was coming because I saw it on social media. She's going on a trip soon to Costa Rica to do some aid work because she said that my U.N. stuff inspired her. I wrote you a letter, I brought it!"
In the wake over the royal family scandal, a Twitter-user named Michelle shared the clip online, in order to highlight Meghan's kindly nature. Michelle captioned her post: "dont forget meghan did this. this is the kind of person she is [sic]"
Not long after this, Emily Sorrells herself took to TikTok to talk about her relationship with Meghan and how much she admires her.
In the caption for the video, Emily wrote: "A video of me meeting Meghan Markle just went viral. Allow me to explain. She is genuinely the most inspiring human I’ve met. Through her social media & blog she taught me to be a more confident and passionate version of myself. The hate against her is garbage. [sic]"
After many tabloid sources disparaged Megan for the couple's decision to withdraw from the limelight, Queen Elizabeth II has now released an official statement in which she claims she is "entirely supportive" of Harry and Meghan's desire for a new life.
