This week, the people of the UK have enjoyed some of the warmest weather on record. For the first time since 1961, temperatures across the nation have exceeded 34 Celsius (93.2 Fahrenheit) for six days in a row.
However, with hot weather and beach days comes rainfall and thunderstorms.
Now, many people enjoy watching a good summer thunderstorm. It can be somewhat relaxing to listen to the rain hit the ground and break up the warm weather, as the sky illuminates with lightning. But when the lightning is striking houses on your own street, you may have a different reaction.
Yes, this is the terrifying moment Donna Tizzard was filming the stormy conditions in Gwersyllt, Wales, when she captured a huge lightning bolt strike her neighbor's house - just across from her own.
You can see the video in Donna's tweet below:

Sharing the clip to Twitter, Donna captioned the video: "Sorry for the bad language.. but I s**t myself".
And we cannot blame her! When the bolt of lightning strikes her neighbor's roof, she exclaims: "Oh my God! Colin! Colin! What the f***?!"
That being said, it is rather humorous that Donna and Colin were discussing a rainbow just seconds before having the fear of God put into them.
Donna's dramatic video has since received over 102,000 views on Twitter, with one person replying: "Whatever that hit, the plume of smoke makes me think that there's not much of it left."
Following a week of scorching weather, the Guardian reports that the Met Office is now warning much of the UK of storms and "exceptional rainfall".
The Environment Agency has also posted a total of 23 flood warnings across the UK (as of this writing).
