An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing five-year-old girl who is believed to have been kidnapped by three men in Houston, Texas.

Maleah Davis was taken on Saturday night and was last seen in Sugar Land, Houston, near the Southwest Freeway and Highway 6.

The five-year-old's stepfather, his two-year-old son, and Maleah were forcefully taken by three Hispanic men, in their thirties, driving a 2010 blue Chevrolet Crew Cab pick-up truck, ABC reports.

He said the men attacked him before dropping him and his son off in Sugar Land, while driving off with Maleah.

Police are not yet aware of any motive behind the kidnapping.

Officials also do not recognise the licence plate of the kidnappers' vehicle.

Maleah is described as an African-American female with black hair and brown eyes and at the time of the kidnapping, was wearing a pink bow in her hair, a light blue jacket, and grey/white/pink sneakers.

She is 3 feet tall and weighs about 30 to 40 pounds.

Those who have information on Maleah's kidnappers or whereabouts are being urged to get in touch with HPD Homicide at 713-308-3600 or at 713-222-TIPS.
