Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has commented on Marjorie Taylor Greene's repeated attempts at a confrontation, describing the US representative for Georgia's 14th congressional district as "deeply unwell".
Greene, who was elected to the House in 2020, has publically espoused a number of conspiracy theories and has been filmed harassing Ocasio-Cortez on camera.
Take a look at this interview with AOC in the video below:Speaking with reporters on the subject of the controversial Georgia congresswoman, Ocasio-Cortez stated: "This is a woman that’s deeply unwell."
She continued: "[She] clearly needs help. And her kind of fixation has lasted for several years now. At this point, I think the depth has raised concerns for other members as well.
"I think that this is an assessment that needs to be made by the proper professional."
Per The Hill, Ocasio-Cortez also disparaged Greene in an interview with reporters on Thursday, May 13, stating:
"I used to work as a bartender. These are the kinds of people that I threw out of bars all the time.
"For me, this isn’t even about how I feel. It’s that I refuse to allow young women, people of color, people who are standing up for what they believe, to see this kind of intimidation."
The 31-year-old New York representative also hinted for the GOP to remove Greene in a new post addressed to her 12.7 million followers on Twitter.
Sharing a news article about Greene's associations with those involved in the Capitol riots, AOC wrote: "And now it’s revealed that this person [Greene] showed up to members of Congress’ doors with folks from the mob who infiltrated the Capitol, beat Capitol police and strung up nooses in front of the House.
"If the shoe were on the other foot, the GOP would be calling for my expulsion."

These comments come just a few days after CNN unearthed a video dating back to 2019, which showed Ocasio-Cortez’s staff being harassed by Greene prior to her election.
The footage shows Greene - accompanied by a man who would go on to take part in the January 6 Capitol riots - shouting through the letterbox of Ocasio-Cortez’s congressional office.
Per The Guardian, Greene mockingly states in the video: "You need to stop being a baby and stop locking your door and come out and face the American citizens that you serve.
"If you want to be a big girl, you need to get rid of your diaper and come out and be able to talk to the American citizens. Instead of having to use a flap, a little flap. Sad."
She later repeatedly in AOC's words "harassed" her and her staff over the New Green Deal, and this week accused Ocasio-Cortez of sympathizing with terrorists as a result of her comments on rising tensions in the Middle East.
