A disturbing family connection has emerged after two more men were charged in a separate child abuse investigation linked to the relatives at the center of the Ohio “house of horrors” case.
Gary Siders Jr., 36, and Elizabeth Siders, 33, were indicted on Friday on additional charges relating to allegations involving a child who was not part of their immediate family.
The latest developments stem from an investigation that began in December 2025, when Vinton County authorities started looking into the alleged sexual abuse of two minors.
That initial investigation led to the arrests of Josh Saunders, 23, and Brandon Henderson Sr., 40.
Saunders has been indicted on three counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition. Henderson faces 21 charges, including child endangerment, gross sexual imposition and sexual battery.
Investigators uncovered further evidence during that inquiry, prompting authorities to launch another investigation in March involving allegations concerning a different child.
That probe ultimately turned the spotlight on Gary Jr. and Elizabeth.
The couple now face two counts of sexual battery and two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Authorities allege the offences took place over approximately eight months, between January and September 2022, and involved a child more than 10 years younger than the couple.
Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson confirmed that the alleged victim was not an immediate family member of the Siders.
Further details have now revealed a complicated connection between the newly charged suspects and the Siders family.
Henderson Sr. is reportedly in a relationship with Virginia Saunders, one of Gary Jr.'s older sisters.
Meanwhile, Josh Saunders is Virginia's son — making him Gary Jr. and Elizabeth's 16 children's cousin.
Marriage records obtained by NBC affiliate WCMH show that Virginia married Joshua Saunders, 42, in April 2003.
The older Saunders has been behind bars since 2009, serving a sentence of 15 years to life for murder.
He is believed to be the father of Josh Saunders, who was charged Friday in connection with the alleged sexual offences.
After the elder Saunders was imprisoned, Virginia reportedly began a relationship with Henderson Sr.
Virginia also has another daughter, aged 15, who currently lives with another sister and her husband. It remains unclear whether Henderson Sr. or the elder Saunders is the teenager's biological father.

Gary Jr. and Elizabeth were already facing serious charges before the latest indictments.
The couple each face 16 counts of felony child endangerment following their arrests on June 30 at their property in Hamden, around 79 miles south of Columbus.
Gary Jr. is also facing several public indecency charges arising from a separate case.
When deputies searched the property, they reportedly discovered all 16 of the couple's children confined inside a room measuring approximately 12 feet by 12 feet.
The children ranged in age from around 18 months to 18 years old.
Authorities described the conditions inside the property as deeply disturbing, alleging that the room was contaminated with human waste.
Several of the children reportedly needed hospital treatment after being removed from the home.
The children's grandparents were also arrested.
Gary Siders Sr., 73, and Christina Siders, 67, each face 16 felony child-endangerment charges.
Gary Sr. was subsequently released because of his serious health problems, with prosecutors reportedly concerned that keeping him in custody could place a significant financial burden on Vinton County.
Gary Jr., Elizabeth and Christina remain in custody on $300,000 bonds.
