A Chinese analyst known as "China's Nostradamus" has made an alarming prediction after Donald Trump released previously classified UFO files.
Jiang Xueqin, often referred to as "Professor Jiang," has earned the nickname thanks to several forecasts that supporters say accurately predicted major global events, including the current US-Iran conflict.
Now, he has weighed in on the Trump administration's push to declassify files relating to UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
Speaking with American YouTuber Nico Ken De Balinthazy, known online as "Sneako," Jiang was asked whether he believes aliens exist, and his response was blunt.
"Everyone knows it's complete nonsense. It's complete BS. There's no aliens, there's no alien technology. It's a hallucination. You just distract people," he said, per Express.
Jiang suggested that society is becoming overwhelmed by fear and division.
"Some people believe it. And if others don't believe it, then you have this AI threat. And if they don't believe that, then you have life demons," he said. "And people retreat into their own bubble. Just think about the atrocities that are going to happen in the future - it's going to overwhelm people.
"They would rather close their eyes and shut off their ears and just live in the normal world.
"We've seen this happen historically before where empires decline because of civil war, because they get exhausted," he added.
His comments come as the Pentagon released previously classified material connected to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).
The release has sparked debate among politicians, scientists, and religious groups.
According to MSN, some believe the information could be a step toward proving alien life exists. Others are not convinced.
Scientists have urged people to be careful, saying any evidence of extraterrestrial life would need to be thoroughly checked before any conclusions can be made.
At the same time, some religious leaders and conservative politicians believe unexplained aerial sightings could have spiritual causes rather than alien ones.
The White House has described the disclosures as part of a wider transparency initiative.
In a statement to Fox News, officials said: "The latest UAP videos, photos, and original source documents from across the entire United States government are all in one place – no clearance required."
The administration also contrasted the move with previous governments, adding: "While past administrations sought to discredit or dissuade the American people, President Trump is focused on providing maximum transparency to the public, who can ultimately make up their own minds about the information contained in these files."
