A former CIA agent has lifted the lid on some confidential intel to do with extraterrestrial life on our planet.
It may all sound like a Men in Black-inspired conspiracy, but earlier this year, the US government released UFO files seemingly confirming the existence of aliens.
But according to the former federal agent, aliens reportedly have four bases on Earth, which will whet the appetite of Ufologists.
The US has long had a fascination with aliens, as seen in numerous past blockbuster films, though some have taken it upon themselves to carry out their own research into alien life.
This included the US military, which started an initiative during the Cold War called the Stargate Project.
Its goal was to test and evaluate remote viewing capabilities when it came to extraterrestrials.
Physicists Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff first came up with the idea of "Remote viewing" at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in the 1970s.
Leading on from the discovery by Targ and Puthoff, the American Institutes for Research released a report in 1995, describing remote viewing as "the ability to describe locations one has not visited without prior knowledge."
One of the people working for the US Army intelligence who was being trained to become a remote viewer was Leonard "Lyn" Buchanan.
Pat Price was another trained remote viewer who was allegedly the first person to find and locate the four alien bases on Earth.
As ludicrous as it may sound, these locations would be revisited during the CIA's Project 8200 to check if anyone could back up his claims.
Buchanan was asked to monitor these bases, which were reportedly located in Alaska's Mount Hayes, Zimbabwe's Mount Nyangani, Australia's Mount Zeil, and the Pyrenees Mountains.
He didn't stop there, publicly explaining that each site had a different purpose, claiming that the Australian base was almost a UFO "port of entry," while the Alaskan base was used to gather information.
Speaking on the American Alchemy podcast, he added that the Zimbabwe base was essentially a repair center for extraterrestrial spacecraft.
The purpose behind the supposed base located in the Pyrenees Mountains is unclear, though Buchanan noted that there was one remote viewing session at the Australian site, where the aliens were aware of his presence.
It may sound outlandish, but Buchanan told podcast host Jesse Michels that "the first thing that happened was they let me know that they knew I was there and that it was okay."
The former army sergeant said that humans and aliens were working together at these sites, explaining: "[Pat] Price and Joe McMoneagle had found aliens and humans working side by side as sort of an intelligence gathering place."
But with his own eyes, Buchanan recalled: "I did Mount Hayes, and found out that the equipment was now automated and still running, but there was no need for personnel there."
He said that due to how deep it was into the mountains, it would be impossible for anyone to find it.
Allegedly.
