Kate Quigley has issued a statement after surviving a suspected accidental group fentanyl overdose, which resulted in the deaths of three people.

Per TMZ, the comedian was rushed to hospital last Saturday morning (September 4) after she and fellow comics, Fuquan 'Fy' Johnson and Enrico Colangeli, and friend, Natalie Williamson, suffered accidental overdoses after reportedly using cocaine that had been laced with the substance at a party in Venice, California.

The 39-year-old opened up about her grieving process in an emotional statement shared on Twitter.

Quigley disclosed that she had been released from the hospital on Saturday night (September 11), and that she had "finally had the time [and] clarity to put my feelings on paper."

"Thank you to everyone who reached out to me over the past week," she wrote. "I feel overwhelmed by the outpouring of kind messages and am incredibly grateful to be surrounded by a strong community of friends, family, colleagues, and fans who have offered their support during this time; and to the team of paramedics, nurses, and doctors who saved my life."

"I am still shocked & devastated by the loss of my friends Fu, Rico, and Natalie," Quigley continued. "Words cannot describe the pain I am feeling & I will be changed forever by their passings."

According to the Los Angeles Times, last week, the Los Angeles County coroner's office revealed that 42-year-old Johnson, 48-year-old Colangeli, and 33-year-old Williamson, had died in the alleged group accidental overdose.

Quigley's statement continued:

"Fu was a generous, loving soul. He was hilarious, supportive and incredibly authentic with the most infectious spirit. Rico was always filled with enthusiasm & Natalie was so kind and endearing. They each made an indelible mark on my life and the lives of their loved ones. I will miss them."

"There are so many more things i want to say, but I’m not ready. When I am, I will. Until then, all I can say is: Tell your people that you love them every day. Stay safe. And please don’t take life for granted. I did, and I never will again."

Last Thursday (September 9), Quigley briefly addressed her fans in another tweet.

She said that she is "still healing physically [and] mentally," but said that the positive messages were helping her.

"Hi love bugs. - Ive stayed off my phone a couple days & prolly will for a while. I'm still healing physically & mentally. But reading all the positive messages from u guys is makin me cry tnight. Thank u. So grateful for the support & love. U have no idea how much it's helping [sic]," she wrote.

Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson Officer Mike Lopez has told the Los Angeles Times that there "was no indication of foul play" in the incident.
