A father has been charged after allegedly killing a man who he claimed had sold his teenage daughter into sex trafficking, the Daily Mail reports.

John Eisenman, 60, from Spokane, Washington state, was charged with the first-degree murder of 19-year-old Andrew Sorensen, whose rotting body was found in the trunk of an abandoned car on October 22, authorities said Monday, November 1.

According to police, Eisenman discovered in October last year that his daughter was sold into a sex-trafficking ring in Seattle, allegedly by Sorensen, who was her boyfriend at the time.

Eisenman eventually managed to save his daughter and bring her back to Spokane, police said.

Some weeks later, the father allegedly confronted Sorensen at an address in Airway Heights and abducted him, NBC News reports.

Police wrote in a statement: "During that encounter Eisenman abducted the victim, tying him up and placing him in the trunk of a vehicle.

"Eisenman subsequently assaulted the victim by hitting him in the head with a cinder block and then stabbed him repeatedly, causing his death."

As reported by The Spokesman-Review, investigators only discovered Sorensen's rotting body after residents of Spokane reported an abandoned vehicle on their street that was covered in mold and releasing a foul odor.

According to the outlet, the car belonged to Eisenman's fiancée, Brenda Kross.

Per court documents obtained by The Spokesman-Review, Sorenson's ankles and hands were bound with zip ties. He also had tape over his mouth and several puncture marks on his clothes.

Kross reportedly told police that their underage daughter had been sold into sex trafficking by Sorensen and that she and Eisenman had driven to Seattle to rescue her in 2020.

A neighbor also contacted police to inform them that Eisenman had confessed to killing someone and hiding their remains in the trunk of a car.

According to law enforcement, Eisenman was arrested and surrendered to officers without incident. He had no previous violent criminal history.

When questioned by police, he admitted to confronting Sorensen in November 2020 before killing him.

Eisenman was arrested last Friday and held on a $1 million bond.
